Sweet and Spicy Beer Mustard

Tools + Supplies

  • mixing bowl or Tupperware

  • Saran Wrap or foil if using mixing bowl

  • food processor

  • 4 8oz jars


  • 1.25 cup yellow mustard seeds

  • .25 cup brown mustard seeds

  • .75 cup apple cider vinegar

  • 1.25 cup beer of your choice (I used a seasonal Rhinegeist)

  • .25 cup honey

  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar

  • 1 tsp salt


  • in mixing bowl or Tupperware, mix yellow and brown mustard seeds, vinegar, and beer. Cover and let sit at room temperature for 12-24 hours.

  • pour mixture into food processor with honey, brown sugar, and salt. Pulse until desired consistency.

  • Pour mixture into glass jars and let rest for at least 10 days in the fridge before using.
